British Armoured Recce, the basic platoons

Here some pictures of the basic platoons for my Armoured Recce Squadron together.
in the back you see the two HQ Cromwells, on their left are the three Cromwells of A Platoon, on their right are the three Cromwells of B Platoon, and in the front the four Stuart V's of the Recce Platoon....

British Armoured Recce, Stuart V Recce Platoon

And here are the tiny monsters of my British Armoured Recce Squadron!

It nothing less than a Stuart V Recce Platoon, constisting of four Stuart V tanks.

As you will see they bear the same Divisional markings but have different regimental ones, they have a crooked white square which means that they are a detachment from the regimental HQ.

from the front to the back you'll see " Lili marlene, Long john silver, Lewis, and Lancer " the four Stuart V tanks of my Recce Platoon for my Armoured Recce Squadron.

British Armoured Recce, Cromwell B Platoon

And here some pictures of B Platoon of my British Armoured Recce Squadron

not much to be said.... except...

from left to right " Cobra, Cougar, Cheetah " the three Cromwells of B Platoon

British Armoured Recce, Cromwell A Platoon

And of course the rest of my British Armoured Recce Squadron consists of more Cromwells.

This is one of my platoons of Cromwells, it consists of 3 Cromwell tanks to have a Challenger tank added later on.... ;)

from left to right "Sheepdog, Spokesman, and Sable" the three Cromwell tanks of A platoon.
Here also their divisional and regimental markings can be seen...

British Armoured Recce, Company HQ

Here some pictures of my HQ cromwells for my British Armoured Recce which i finished painting alomst a year ago.

It represents "B Squadron 15 /19 King's Royal Hussars" this is an Armoured Recce Regiment from the 11th Armoured Division "The Black Bulls"

All the cromwells of the Amoured Recce Company have their own names, they can be seen in white on the turrets. names of tanks from the same platoon start with the same letter...

Now Hells Highway is out i have to order me some Challengers for some real punch with this company and to finally be able to take platoons consisting of four tanks ;)

This is "Eaglet", tank of the 2nd in Command

This is "Eagle", tank of the Company Commander

Here you can see both of them together, you can also see the divisional symbol (the raging black bull) and divisional number (45 on a green/blue background).

Here you can see their regimental markings ( white squares) on their turrets, white stands for recce unit and the square stands for B squadron...

It's about time i'd present some of my British army

Hi to all,

before i finished all the German platoons you have seen on this blog i have been busy painting a British armoured recce and rifle company.

i'll try to bring this blog a soon as possible up to date. I just have to take some time to take some nice pictures of my completed platoons and models.
